The Federalist Party is a political party in the Esmeraldan Empire. It was formed in 5000 by citizen of the empire who had begun to resent the absolute authority of the Emperor's position. They have traditionally been viewed as a the party of the commoner in contracst with the Royalist Party who are viewed as the one for the noble.
Ideology[]
The Federalist Party does support the monarchical system of government but advocates for more responsible government control bestowed upon the senate and regional governments. Royalists traditionally will support the Royal Court without question whereas Federalists tend to be more cautious and questioning.
Federalists campaign on a platform of fiscally sound and nationalistic government.
