The Coliseum is a huge circular arena located in sector 12 of Esmeralda Prime.
The arena provides entertainment to capital and the entire empire.
Within the coliseum, gladiators face off against gladiators all for the entertainment of the onlookers. Most modern fighters are praepositans as their unique physiology provides them with the ideal strength, size and durability to allow them to survive the harsh conditions of the matches.
The combatants are not permitted to use weapons or armour of any kind in the arena. However, praepositans are permitted to use their natural extraordinary abilities against their opponent if they any possess any at all.
The champion of the fights is known as the Champion of the Capital.
